What kind of innovation is Gizmodo looking for, and why aren’t they asking it of other participants in the PVR space?
There is not a single PVR, from any manufacturer, that records television programming with the reliability and predictability of TiVo. Not one. I bought my first box in 1999, and would switch in a heartbeat if something better came along… for better or worse, nothing else is even close.
Gizmodo : TiVoToGo Sucks; TiVo Dead
Coupled with the Comcast screw-up and I think it’s pretty much over for the company. They broke the PVR space wide open (at least feature-wise), but it’s been years since any real innovation.
